Today I went to the National Portrait Gallery in London to do a photography workshop. Unfortunately when I got there, I was told that the workshop was cancelled because the presenter was ill. But it wasn't all bad news because I spent the next 2 hours in the enjoyable company of grigori's girl
and we had a great time re-living our youth and admiring the fantastic photos in the Beatles to Bowie: the 60s exposed exhibition.
This gentleman was busking outside and he was a fine player indeed. After I took his photo, he asked me to take some pics of him with his camera, he particularly wanted his mascot and the poster of George Melly behind him to be in the shot.

One of the great things about the British Museum is that you're free to take photographs except in some of the special exhibitions, which is fair enough, and the shop.
The shop? Yes. Weird. But I managed to steal this shot of the glass doors before 'The Lady With Power' came over and told me of this peculiar rule.
There's more from my trip to the British Museum here if you're interested.

i love you jen mo.
being lonely is the worst, and being on the wrong side of a sentiment like this feels terrible. but understanding that this is probably how a person feels about you and telling them how you feel anyway and steeling yourself to not melt at the mention of their name, if you can, feels kind of good. and there are so many other things that feel good....going to the movies in the afternoon, art parties, sweet tea vodka sillies, cold weather best friend snuggles, fitting too many people on your couch and watching funny videos on youtube, eating at taco bell even though it sicks you out, frozen yogurt, thunderstorm smells, learning really hard dances, playing dress up, baking horrible cakes, holding hands. there are lots of things that you don't hate....you just have to try really hard sometimes to remember what they are.
