I know very well that all stars / celebrities have plastic / cosmetic surgeries...I want to know if you noticed the same thing I noticed. I watched Nicole Kidman biography on the BIOGRAPHY channel.
As you know, they did a chronological tour of her accomplishements and showed pictures / snapshots of her acting. What struck me is how her nose changed since she first started acting.
Have you noticed the same thing? What do you think of her new nose? Do you think she would have been as successful if she would have kept her old nose? By the way, she wored a prosthetic nose when she played Virginia Wolf.
I wonder if she had other body parts modified. Please be respectful, this question is serious and it is meaningul to me that each one of you tell me what you think. Thank you for taking some of your precious time to answer my question.
like wolf hybrids, pygmy goat, sheep, duck, chicken, degu, Llamas, pudu, crow/raven, capabara, Patagonian Cavy, paca, alpaca, red fox.
i want to get something different, but i dont know what animals are legal in VA. anyone have a link to a site that can help me? i cant find any info...
In P W C you can own goats, sheep, ducks, chickens, llamas, and alpacas if you are zoned agricultural and have the adequate amount of land. That information is available through the County’s zoning department.
Ferrets and Wolf Hybrids are allowed as pets in households. All the others that you listed are either exotic and not allowed in this county or wild and unable to be kept as pets. You can find out more information on the wildlife by contacting the VA Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.
As far as any other counties regulations you would have to check with them. The State and County animal laws are also available online. The County’s ordinances can be accessed at www.pwcgov.org.
I hope this helps,

I live on the eastern coast of Virginia and have recently been seeing alot of these brown spiders around the house. I am familiar with the wolf spider, fishing spider, yellow sac spider, barn spider and cellar spider as these are the usual culprits and this spider is not any of them. The picture is below (unfortunately blurry due to close proximity). The spider was found in the bath tub on a cob-like web. It is brown, approximately 1/2 inch long and has a small mark on the cephalothorax, but not the pronounced violin shape seen in the brown recluse. Any ideas? (the link will provide access to two pictures of the spider)

A moose ambles by a wolf burrow. He is 20 meters away. The moose and the wolf spot each other at the same time. The moose runs away perpendicular to the burrow. The wolf gives chase always running towards where the moose currently is. Both the moose and the wolf have a top speed of 10 m/s.
What is the closest the wolf gets to the moose?

lol, Elmyr, I make mistakes. Don't assume my flip answer to Virginia's prior question was correct.
I'm considering going to William and Mary, U Virginia or Washington and Lee for college, but I'm deathly afraid of creepy crawly type bugs. I'm from northern Massachusetts, so normally don't have to deal with that problem, and bugs don't get much larger than daddy long legs spiders. I had to take Emory off my list after hearing my aunt recount her experience with wolf spiders in SC, nevermind GA. Thats probably the biggest issue for me: spiders. What types of bugs/spiders would I encounter if I went to these colleges? This is really important, as W&M is my #2, but if I have to deal with spiders constantly, I will be back up north faster than you've ever seen anyone run.
Yes go ahead. I'm a damned cowardly Yankee. (If your from MA, ignore that, it doesn't mean what you think... Go Sox!)
I am currently reading the book "Make Lemonade" by Virginia Euwer Wolf and was wondering- If you dropout of High School when you are in 11th or 12th grade, could you still go back to high school in 10 years? 20 years?
Just a note- I'm not going to drop out of high school, someone just asked the question in class...
If you get assigned to a LOS ANGELES class boat and that class gets decommissioned, will you be sent to A school again for the newer Virginia or Sea Wolf class or just get assigned to another boat?
Minnesota (home of the RNC convention)- Obama 53-41
Iowa-55-40
new mexico- 53-40
Obama- 243
McCain- 189
toss-up states are turning out to be bluer and bluer. It's incredible. I think Virginia is next!
The blue-collar areas that are republican firewalls are incredibly turning to Barack Obama's side. A lot of the areas Bush carried are going toward Barack and not McCain which is alarming to the republicans.
so much for holding the convention by Minnesota.
Reported by Wolf Blitzer and John King on CNN's situation room!
sorry my mistake: I didn't mean to include minnesota in there.
btw Artemis I live in the VA/MD/DC area as well and Obama is heavily favored. I think if he can sweep the north then he can win the state!

i need it for an audition this week
please help?
"the book is written so beautifully -at times evoking the seamless poetic lyricism of Virginia Woolf -that these are minor quibbles."
I read this in a book review , i didn't get the point of writer ?i guess it means this book in compare of Virgina's wolf books is nothing ?
I want to check in on august 3rd, and check out on august 5th.
Its for my birthday and I'm not trying to spend a crazy amount of money.
Are there any specials or codes that I can use now?
i was wondering if anyone has been to the great wolf lodge in virginia and if so how fun is it and how cool is it how is gr8 space and most importantly how is the howlin tornado i am driving 4 states away when theres one in the state next to us that doesnt have the howlin tornado so is the hownlin tornado fun just asking remember im going 4 states from here it better be good!!!
thanks and ohio is closer but i want to go on the howlin tornado in virginia so can you plz tell me about the howlin tornado
Recently,(June 15 or 16) my class went to Virginia, and we stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge. We got a phone call the same night, and it sounded like a little girl whispering "Amber". So, we thought it was a prank, and we called the front desk, asking who called us. The front desk said no calls have been placed to our room, 3014. We told our teacher this story, and she told us about this little girl named Amber, who drowned at the water park last year on the very same day that we got a phone call.
Does anyone know if this is true or not because we tried searching on the internet and it came up with all these others stories, but none of them really matched the information we got.
Thanks.
Okay, maybe I didn't say this clearly enough, but what I meant was can anyone give me information on this, like if they know it's true or not.
I want to get a wolf/dog mix, i live in virginia can anyone help me find one? and how much would one cost?
you can have a dog that is part wolf if its 75% or less...i think
it just a dog that is part wolf!!!
Susan Sontag mentions an extract from Virginia Wolf where she describes a photo from the Spanish Civil War:
This morning's collection contains the photograph of what might be a man's body, or a woman's; it is so mutilated that it might, on the other hand, be the body of a pig. But those certainly are dead children, and that undoubtedly is the section of a house. A bomb has torn open the side; there is still a bird-cage hanging in what was presumably the sitting room . . .
I am looking for this picture. ANYONE HAS ANY IDEA????
is it true?
does it exist???
I'm setting up a "Bloomersbury" group. We shall sit about drinking champagne and munching canapes, and discussing literature. None of that Martin Amis or Dan Brown nonsense. It shall be Sartre, De Beauvoir, Virginia Wolf and Enid Blyton. Can you convince me of your appropriate qualities for this elite salon?
I have to read a story, "A room of one's own" by Virginia Wolf and explain how it relates to the story. But I don't know what literary modernism. Can someone please explain it? You don't even have to tell me how it relates, just please explain what literary modernism is. Thanks

Ron Paul Rocks!
by Karen Kwiatkowski
by Karen Kwiatkowski
DIGG THIS
I am ashamed to admit that I’ve been watching Ron Paul’s recent political acts with fingers and toes crossed, breathless.
Seeing Ron Paul educate Wolf Blitzer earlier this week, after his astoundingly fantastic performance in the second Republican debate, makes me sorry I had lost my faith in the power of truth, the power of courage. I’m sorry that I didn’t believe in the possibility that a serious person in the American political arena would commit that most radical act of speaking truth to power.
And in doing it, not only survive, but thrive!
A famous Orwell quote captures what is happening. "In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act." And while many have been working to prepare ground for truth and freedom in this country, I think we will note that the first shots in this revolution have been fired by Ron Paul.
Orwell had glimpsed what would become the modern political state, globally engaged in endless wars, fighting shadowy enemies who constantly change, because they never really mattered anyway. What mattered, and what still matters, is war, with its handmaidens Fear and Public Amnesia. Without fear and amnesia, holding on to domestic political power in the American neoconservative oligarchy becomes risky, uncertain.
Ron Paul is speaking truth to the whole world, with patience and patriotism flowing in equally generous portions. Like the young David, he is received by the dogs of war with sneers, self-important snarling, threatening stares. Like David, he seems almost unarmed and even unprepared for the great battle to come. But like David, he is unafraid. Like David, he understands what he believes in and knows it to be consistent with all that is good and just.
On the other hand, his political opponents, in both parties, do not truly believe in what they are saying. The neoconservative evangelical Republican Party seeks the 2008 presidency and the neoconservative socialist Democratic Party seeks the 2008 presidency. It isn’t because they believe in something – instead, they seek to access domestic power and maintain the status quo – an enriching and profitable status quo for people and organizations in power, I might add.
I’m not just saying this because I am excited about Ron Paul’s candidacy and the possibility of his presidency. Recall if you will, the first Republican debate, when the candidates were asked about National ID cards. Some of the other candidates began to respond, clonelike, each confusing the national ID card with some vague undeveloped ideas they have about security for the country. Their reptilian brains were drumming "Security, Security, Must Look Good on Security."
Then Ron Paul gets to answer the national ID card question. It is unnecessary and would have little to nothing to offer in terms of national security. Oh, and then he firmly rejected it. Like a real man!
Immediately, the candidates – even some who had already spoken, rushed and stumbled to agree or at a minimum, move toward the Ron Paul position. I recall Giuliani saying something like he would only have a national ID card for aliens. Huh? My mother says if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all. Let me then say this: Rudy Giuliani has the biggest reptilian brain of all the candidates.
Ron Paul offers real change, and a real way ahead for America that includes not just an embrace of the original constitutional outline of small government, but something we can really partake of each day – free economics, free speech, free will. Further, Ron Paul promises something that is valuable and precious to Americans who belong to a political party – any political party. Ron Paul offers a chance to share a real sense of our country as glorious and honorable, a joyful, fearless land of opportunity and of peace.
Because make no mistake, the United States has not been glorious and wonderful, and certainly not free and peaceful, for many decades.
I am excited about Ron Paul and his campaign. I have ritualistically voted since 1978, usually as a Republican, later as a libertarian, and last fall I voted for Virginia Senator Jim Webb, a Democrat. I’ll ritualistically vote for Ron Paul in 2008, if I can. But far more than that, I am pleased to be humbled by each new day of the Ron Paul campaign – to witness the raw power of ideas and debate – after such a long hiatus of ideas and debate from the American political game.
The Greek concept of happiness, eudaimonia, keeps coming to mind whenever I think of Ron Paul as President. It is about faithful and right action, not human exultation or social extremes. It is about the happy and fulfilling marriage of knowledge and virtue. It is about reality over fantasy, faith over existentialism, doing good over doing evil.
In other words, Ron Paul rocks!
I saw this band at the Barns of Wolf Trap Vienna Virginia.
Actually this great drummer led this band and the CD was under his name can u name him and the rest of the band.
You are correct it was the Filene Center what a band I also have CD. My favorite is John Mc Kee.
Did you enjoy it? I just went to a concert they did at Wolf Trap Virginia and it was FANTASTIC!
Probably one of the very best rock shows of a classic nature I have been to in years. Vocals were strong and enthusiastic, jamming was strong, not at all like a bunch of guys going after a check, this was rock at its finest knocked out by seasoned pros!
I have never seen them live before, and this year I have been on a quest to see some of the best classic era Rock and Pop acts that are still on the road and who still have a majority of their classic lineups intact.
I saw THE DOOBIE BROTHERS, and that was very good, but the MOODY BLUSE was even better, even right down to a nice light show and video backdrop accompminent!
I'm glad I want despite the rain...so, have you ever seen the Moody Blues in person?
What does this play mean and why did i not sleep for days after seeing it live. One of the most visceral moments in my life.....truly amazing, yet why am I so confused? I understand the meaning is meant to be discovered through analyzing the characters, however i need some help!!! WHAT DID I JUST WATCH?
Just a poll I guess but if you were choosing between Yahoo ID's would you choose one that sounds cool or one that has sentimental value?
I have lazer1978 and vadarkwolf
I want to narrow my accounts down to one and don't know which I want to keep I know it is my decision I'm just asking to see what other people think.
Lazer really has no meaning to me other than sentimental value of having it the longest. VaDarkWolf has meaning because I'm from Virginia and I love wolves and dark things.
What do you think, which handle sounds better?
WASHINGTON - President Bush, under growing political pressure, agreed Thursday to negotiate with Congress on a war-spending bill that sets benchmarks for progress in Iraq.
The turnabout in Bush's position came as Republicans expressed anxieties about the war and the House was expected to pass legislation that would cut off funding for U.S. troops as early as July.
Bush said he would veto the measure. "We reject that idea. It won't work," the president said, speaking to reporters at the Pentagon after a briefing on Iraq and Afghanistan.
The bill being voted on Thursday is opposed by nearly all Republicans and unlikely to survive in the Senate. But House Democratic leaders say the measure shows they refuse to back down in challenging Bush on a deeply unpopular and costly war.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (news, bio, voting record), D-Nev., told reporters he has felt a shift in the administration's approach to Democrats.
"It's very clear that the people around the president recognize there are some problems," said Reid, D-Nev. "And I think I have felt with my conversations with administration officials that there is a right admission that things are not going very well."
Senate Democrats said they anticipate a vote on a war bill by next week, although Reid said it remains unclear what the Senate bill might look like.
"There are 150 scenarios as to how this matter is going to be handled," said Reid. Finding a bill the Congress will pass and the president will sign is "extremely difficult," he added.
Bush pressured Iraqi leaders to move swiftly on a number of long-pending measures, including legislation to share Iraq's oil wealth, hold provincial elections and update the constitution.
"They have got to speed up their clock," the president said. Washington is unhappy that Iraq's parliament plans to take a two-month vacation this summer in the midst of the war.
Bush's willingness to put benchmarks in a war-funding bill represented a shift by the president.
"One message I have heard from people of both parties is that benchmarks make sense and I agree," Bush said. He said his chief of staff, Joshua Bolten, would talk with congressional leaders "to find common ground" on benchmarks.
White House officials decided Bush, after refusing to discuss his negotiating stand, should change course and declare what he is for since he been emphatic about what he is against.
The Democrats' bill in the House would provide the military with $42.8 billion to keep operations going through July, buy equipment and train Iraqi and Afghan security forces. Congress would decide shortly before its August recess whether to release an additional $52.8 billion for war spending through September.
A dozen or so members in Congress are attempting to strike a bipartisan compromise. Few have come forward with concrete plans — perhaps out of reluctance to champion a proposal until they know it can succeed. None of the proposals put in plain view have picked up steam.
"We'll see what happens," said Rep. Bud Cramer, D-Ala. "A lot of us are coming together across the aisle. We're under the radar now, but we're meeting."
Many Republicans have grown nervous on the war.
Two Republicans — Reps. Frank Wolf (news, bio, voting record) of Virginia and Michael McCaul (news, bio, voting record) of Texas — circulated a letter along with Democrat Mark Udall (news, bio, voting record) of Colorado urging their colleagues to co-sponsor legislation that would put in place recommendations from the independent Iraq Study Group.
One of the 79 suggestions from the bipartisan group in December was reducing U.S. "political, military or economic support" for Iraq if the Baghdad government could not make substantial progress toward providing for the country's security. The report suggested an urgent diplomatic attempt to stabilize Iraq and allow the withdrawal of most U.S. combat troops by early 2008.
Bush said Congress should give his buildup of more than 20,000 troops a chance to work.
Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander, is to report to Bush in September on the effectiveness of the buildup.
"Why don't we wait and see what happens," the president said. "Let's give this plan a chance to work. Let's stop playing politics."
Bush said the House Democrats' plan to pay for the war only through July was "haphazard, piecemeal funding."
Of the five brigades of additional forces being sent to Iraq, Bush said three are already settled there, the fourth has just entered Baghdad and the fifth will arrive in mid-June.
"Al-Qaida is responding with their own surge. Al-Qaida is ratcheting up their own campaign of high-profile attacks," Bush said.
Rep. Tom Davis of Virginia was one of 11 GOP lawmakers who met with Bush and his top aides Tuesday afternoon.
"We asked them what's Plan B," Davis said. "We let them know that the status quo is not acceptable." Davis said the president responded that if he began discussing a new strategy, his current one never would have a chance to succeed.

After the Virginia Tech Massacre, I think it was Wolf Blitzer talking to one of the victim's father. He just kept pressing the man with very personal questions about his daughter- "what are you gonna miss the most" etc. The guy didn't break, so Blitzer finally gave up.
Tonight I was watching aninterview of a man who saw his wife get killed in the the Greensburg Kansas tornado. The man was obviously still in shock, but the reporter just kept pressing him.
Do reporters at a disaster scene think that adding a personal meltdown to an already terrible situation is gonna help anybody? It seems cruel almost. Any thoughts or insights?
Maybe this will help:

Broke is a great name for you. It has more meaning than you can imagine.
How many lives could have been SAVED if one of the students or teachers pulled out his OWN gun and fought back? There was one school shooting a while back where someone did exactly that. Not many people got killed, so it got little press. A citizen saved who knows how many lives with his own gun! THAT got even LESS press! Why do you think that is? Poor guy got in trouble for being a hero, too. There should be more campus police. They should at least carry Tazer Pistols. Also, nuts like him need to be LISTED somewhere, like we list child molesters. The teacher who cried "wolf" should have been listened to when she spotted this case. A file should have been started on him. It's a shame. They cost a lot to operate and man. The "right to carry" is free. I hope the school takes good care of the Koreans there. They love us as a people like no others in the world.
What do you have to say for yourselves now that there is yet another example of a REPUBLICAN member of Congress going to Syria. Darrell Issa ( R-CA) met with President Assad today, less than 4 days after Virginia Republican Frank Wolf, Pennsylvania Republican Joe Pitts and Alabama Republican Robert Aderholt made the same trip. Where is the hue and cry?

Boomrat, Where is your proof that they went on his oders to Syria? provide links. You won't be able to because he did not. This is just your ilks way of justifying the hypocrisyof this administration.
I meant "orders"
you all are missing the point. Why is there not the same outrage from the right about the REPUBLICANS who went before her, with her or after her?
Why is it only her they single out? Why the hypocrisy?
