| She clutched his picture to her heaving breast. Salty tears were streaming down her pale face, mixing with crimson blood. A gleaming knife was burrowed deep in her side, slowly killing her. Her breath was shallow and short. A tall man loomed over her, a sadistic grin on his face. With the last bit of strength she had, the woman ripped out the knife and plunged it into his chest. A small smile flitted across her lips and with a final sigh, she dropped to the floor. The man collapsed and dragged himself across the floor, to where her body lay in a pool of blood. He layed down next to her, the knife still in him. "I'm sorry it ended this way. What else could I do?"he gasped. He sucked in his final breath, his blood mingling with hers. His heart stopped at long last. |
