| Brianna sat down on the squishy vinyl seats of the movie theatre. Camron was supposed to meet her there thirty minutes ago. She shifted uneasily in her chair. Her eyes flickered uneasily from one door to the other, anxiety filling her from her toes to the top of her head. Camron walked through the left-side movie theatre doors, looking anything but apologetic. Brianna narrowed her eyes at him. He narrowed them back at her. "Where WERE you?" Brianna hissed as he took his chair. Camron tugged at his collar nervously. "Er...um, Briannie, I've got something to tell you." Camron stared at the movie theatre floor. He tugged at his collar again. "What?" Brianna's voice softened. "Brianna..."he sighed."I don't think we're meant for each other." Brianna's bottom lip quivered."What do you mean?" "I mean, it's over. Brianna, what we had was good. Just not...good enough." he got up and walked out. Brianna slid out of her seat, feeling broken. She felt as if her heart was ripped from the rest of her body. She fell to the floor, unconscious. Six weeks later, Brianna committed suicide. Camron came to her funeral and set the diamond ring he wanted to give her before they broke up, on her casket. "I'm so sorry, Briannie."he whispered to the wood. He wanted her to forgive him. He knew she loved him more than anyone. And he had inflicted so much emotional pain on her when he broke up with her. The next day, Camron jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge. Brianna and Camron forgave each oher, in heaven. They promised never to hurt each other anymore. Somehow, they were separated, and they didn't keep their promises. They both became ghosts in New York, not quite able to find one another ever again. |
