Sarah Hyland (born November 24, 1990) is an American actress, currently starring as Haley Dunphy on the ABC comedy Modern Family. She was born in New York City, New York, the daughter of actor Edward James Hyland and sister of actor Ian Hyland. She has been acting since she was 5 years old, with her first role as Howard Stern's daughter in Private Parts. She went on in her career to portray such roles as Molly in the 1999 remake of Annie. She played Brooke Shields' daughter, Maddie Healy, in Lipstick Jungle on NBC. She is featured in an Olive Garden commercial along with actress Molly Culver. Sarah has also appeared on Broadway playing the young Jackie O in Grey Gardens the musical. This is the best thing to wear for the day. You understand. Yeah. Because I don't like women in skirts, and the best thing is to wear pantyhose or some pants...under a short skirt, I think. Then you have the pants under the skirt, and then you can pull the stockings up over the pants, underneath the skirt. Uh-huh. And you can always take off the skirt and use it as a cape. So I think this is the best costume for the day.- Okay. I have to think these things up, you know. Mother wanted me to come out in a kimono, so we had quite a fight. |
