dark & silent velvet night the night shining with rain roofs trimmed with our voices streetlamps bloom a black thread of angels church steeples, stalactites of ice leapt like nervous spiders sodden pools of ivy fireflies, treetops blue winter sky unafraid to cry slashed with rows of rain shadows waft soft as hands inside dripping thighs trembling like candleflames spill of red wine glitter curtains capillaries of voices air dry as brittle candles the wind breathes winter sky paling dawn glows with ghosts & hissing words clawing & biting
