DadaDodo Open this link in a new window

Google Talk Open this link in a new window
Google Talk generates semi-sensible texts by extending a sentence by looking up what according to google will be the most likely next word. For example, type 'let's see what' and Google Talk finishes this sentence with: 'let's see what you can do to help the Environment by Equipment for USE IN RFCs to Indicate Requirement levels, for compliant SIP implementations.' Random Word Haiku Open this link in a new window
Random word haiku borrows the verse form of haiku, but uses words chosen at random to fit the syllable structure. Of course, any meaning in such verse is accidental, yet it can be surprising how often it can seem to be more meaningful, whether profound, humorous or just delightfully bizarre, than chance would allow. Random word haiku elicits meaning from our own knowledge and connections between concepts. The fact that English allows nouns to be used as adjectives helps, too.

The Genuine Haiku Generator Open this link in a new window
The Google poem generator uses a standard server-side component to get the desired Google pages in the background. The pages are then parsed according to pre- and userd-defined parameters. The techniques involved include Microsoft IIS5 web server and Active Server Page 3.0 scripting engine with VBScript. Please note that the parsing is based on knowledge about the present Google html, so if they change their presentation logic, the generator is bound to produce "unpredictable results" ;-).
