Love Poetry Q&A’
I love to write, anything, everything, anyhow…writing is my passion, but…how can I go to the def poetry HBO show…I saw on a DVD, but I don’t even know if it’s shown on HBO, because I have HBO and they never show it…I’d truly love to go there, what are all the requirements…where else can I find out about this? - yag1891

I write poetry, mostly love, romance, and things like that
But i am trying to write about new things. Things that are interesting. No boring stuff that have no meaning…
Can anyone give me any examples to write about? I am looking forward into writing a GREAT poem…. Can you help?
Thanks, these are some good ideas.
I also had another question, I want to publish my poems but do not know if i should or how. I have been told that my poetry was Excellent and that it seems that they are written by experts. I am only a high school student though. How do i publish them and what does it take? What do i need for it? and How will i get the prize? - queen m

The heart so full of love!
Trash
collecting, see, personified by being
full of love
the aimless descriptor love
love love my poetry to be full of good
things, like flowers and sunsets over the sea!
Will you be telling me
of these wonderful events,
so I can BE THERE,
yeah,
who put you here?
We can go for a picnic among
the swaying oak branches
in tall grass or snowbanks,
whichever makes you aware
of where you
are
do you see the beauty of color?
Of course you do,
silly. - Buk

Books are definitely a great love of mine and as I was searching for more reading material, I realized that the only poetry that I’ve read (and enjoyed) are Shakespeare’s sonnets. So I was hoping that I could get some recommendations for good poetry books that I should check out. Thank you very much! - magilynn92

I am not a completely advanced reader, but not reading challenged either. I love to read poetry and I read a sentence of it online and it is written so beautifuly. Should I wait a few years or is it a good level for a 9th grader?
Another question: I fell in love with the way it was written but I have no idea what it is about. Could someone give me a synopsis? - mannah_landerson

I’m a laid back southern girl who likes to cook, ride horses, and of course eat pie while listening to the Allman Brothers Band. Then I’m the girl that loves poetry, art, books of anykind (history books, autobiographies, novels, short stories….), classic rock (the Stones, the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, The Who…), has traveled through out Europe and am living there for a year next summer with a friend. I not only like to look at other peoples poetry and art, but I create my own and am in the process of writing my first book. I also want to have a family someday. Ok, do you see the problem? I want a huge exciting life (and so far have had one sense I tend to live by the moment) but I also want a laid back one….another thing is that I’m also very interested in philosophy and the religions of the world and think I would like a job concerning those two subjects, but I just don’t know. Any ideas? If you want to know more about me or my interests to help better answer my question just ask! - Led*Zep*Babe

I am a 15 year old girl. I am pretty artistic. I do great when writing essays and short stories. But I just cannot get into the flow of writing poetry. I love to read it, it’s beautiful. But it seems when I try to create a poem, it’s just cheesy and NOT GOOD. I am in a class that requires me to write a few poems a week and I am struggling. Advice and tips would be great! Thank you!
*p.s.- If you can’t help me, feel free to name your favorite poet so I can check him out(:
*btw here is a poem I wrote. No, I’m not very proud of it, I’m just showing you my abilities and how bad I need help. lol
The sun rises once again
Though my heart is still
I am a cactus
Living day by day
Absorbing enough to survive
Dry and unchanged
But the sun still sets
My voice is the sound
Of a falling tree in a lone forest
There but unheard
Still the wind blows on - lu

Ricera, Ricera, Ricera
You didn’t think I would get it, did you?
It’s about Emily
But it’s about me too
Was I really just a mistake, a lie?
She’s the one you love
But to me you weren’t just some guy
I know you still think of me
And I think of you
But those dreams
will never come true - megge?

I like writing poerty because it allows me to express and articulate feelings that cant be expressed in just any old words, I also love the creativity and it allows me to show how I really feel. What about you? - Tink
