In the works of Sappho and Egyptian Love Poems, what parallels and differences exist?
I am presently doing a third or fourth close reading of each, but I would love to move along in my work with some cues from closer readers/fans of the work. I recognize the strength of the female voice, that poets from each culture used the powerful first person point of view. I realize each speaks of love, lust and inner-most thoughts but those are such emotional topics that I would enjoy the perspective someone else can offer to help me along in my contemporary analysis.
