Love’s Depression
Tears running slowly
The face was dirty.
Slowly raised the impure hand
To stop the dreaded flow of memories.
There he lay in the corner,
Struggling to retrieve a thought.
Awe stuck of this feat
Nothing to do but slowly look down,
Onto his feet.
Dreamt that he had the one.
She felt so close
Yet far now.
“What came between us
Hath anything effected us?”
No answer back.
Walking slowly down the dark, narrow hallway,
With tears as a trail.
Reaches the end of the hallway,
Halts and stares at the phone.
Wepts a tear and dreadfully runs,
Runs into his room…not just once but two.
