i really love to write novels and storys! i also love to write poetry! should i publish a book of poetry?

I’m P’d off. I just found out that they ‘love’ & ‘publish’ anyones poetry. I have a couple of poems there and I want to know if I’m under any kind of copyright,legal crap. I haven’t given them any money btw.

I love writing poetry and music. and i don’t want to publish a book, i just want to try and publish some in a few magazines. can anyone give me a few good websites that i can go to? it can be anything from magazines to newspapers, or websites.
i’m not wanting to get paid, i just want to get started in writing and i think this is the best way to do it. if anyone can help, i’d appreciate it. thanks!

I would love to have a book of my favorite poems published, and I have plenty to choose from and can always write more. However, I don’t know the first thing about publishing my own book! Any advice would help…do I get an agent, solicit publishers, beg? I appreciate all the help!
