FLB: Hi everybody, I'm glad to be doing this, and please feel free to ask any questions! stacey11784: So, what exactly do you write about? FLB: A general description would be magic realism, contemporary fairy tales with a dark edge. Usually with themes of the healing power of love, and the healing power of creativity and art. peaches_10203: How and where do you get your ideas? FLB: I really get them from every aspect of my life. Generally it starts from something very personal. But I'm also influenced by things I've read, mythology, fairy tales, experiences that people have shared with me. And also things like music, art, things like that. hellokittyusa: How did you get started writing? FLB: I always wrote since I was a little kid. And I was fortunate enough to have my parents encourage me a lot. was just a natural impulse, something I needed to do from an early age. |
