Decasyllable verse or meter (in Italian decasillabo) is a kind of verse used mostly in epic poetry of the Southern Slavs (for example Serbian epic poetry sung to the gusle instrument). Each verse has exactly ten syllables (and the literal meaning of the word is just "of ten syllables").
